Shillong girl to represent State in beauty pageant

SHILLONG, April 10: It can be termed as a proud moment for the state, as former Miss Shillong Sabi Parves Warjri will be representing Meghalaya in the upcoming beauty pageant contest ‘Mrs South Asia, India’ 2017 scheduled be held at New Delhi on April 22, followed by the grand file April 25. During the beauty pageant there will be around 28 participants from different states of India. The former Miss Shillong will represent Meghalaya in the mega event and if crowned Mrs South Asian 2017, Warjri will be representing India in the Intertiol are. The theme of the beauty pageant contest is Empowerment of Women. “This beauty pageant is not only about being beautiful and walking the ramp, however it is a pageant with a vision,” the former Miss Shillong, said. Warjri further urged the local people of the state to support her with an aim make the state of Meghalaya and its people proud by winning the coveted crown of ‘Mrs South Asia India 2017’.
