Shillong Lajong FC beat Malki SC

SHILLONG, Nov 15: Shillong Lajong FC defeated Malki Sports Club by 3-1 today in the Meghalaya Invitation Football Tourment at the SSA Ground Polo.

Shillong Lajong took the lead in the 38th minute when Nim Dorjee Tamang headed from Hardy Nongbri's cross to give Lajong a 1-0 lead.

In the 60th minute, The Reds, doubled the lead after Sheen Sohktung netted with his right foot from inside the box.

Lajong youngsters domited today's game and had more ball possession than their opponents.

Lajong continued the attacking mode and were pushing forward and scored the third goal in the 67th minute. Samuel Lalmuanpuia converted from a Sheen Sohktung's cross and gave Lajong a 3-0 lead.

In the 79th minute, Malki maged to score one goal. Shillong Lajong FC won today's game by 3-1 and will play the quarter fils against Sawmer Sports Club on 17th November at the JN Stadium at 2PM.
