Shillong woman crowned Mrs India Universal

SHILLONG, April 27: In a proud achievement for the state of Meghalaya Sabi Parvez Warjri hailing from Shillong has been crowned as “Mrs India Universal” on April 25, in New Delhi. Warjri upon winning the title of “Mrs India Universal” will now represent India at the Mrs Universal 2017 which will be held from 5-10 September in London. It may be mentioned that Warjri had participated in the Mrs South Asian beauty pageant contest held on April 22, in which there were 28 contestants from different parts of the country. In which she was ultimately crowned the winner on April 25, hence attaining the title of ‘Mrs India Universal’ 2017. Sabi Parves Warjri was a former Miss Shillong, she was crowned the title in the year 1995. She becomes the first lady from Meghalaya to achieve such a feat in representing the country in an Intertiol beauty pageant contest.
