Shiva Thapa med for best player award

GUWAHATI, May 6:  United brothers Club will introduce Annual Sports award from this year. A function in this regard would be held in the city on May 19 where Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal will hand over the awards to the selected sports persons.
Disclosing the news to a media conference the President of the club Pranoy Bordoloi today said, “We have already selected the me of the sports persons who will be awarded in the first year. Indian star boxer Shiva Thapa will receive the best player award for the year 2016 while archer Pramila Daimary will receive the most promising player award. Shiva will receive cash award of Rs one Lakh and Promila will be richer by Rs 50,000.”
The club also med best sports organizer and Life Time achievement award winners me. Veteran sports jourlists Premadhar Sarma will receive the life Time Achievement Award. On the other hand President of the Assam Archery Association Jayanta Boro and  Secretary of the Assam Amateur Boxing Association Hemanta Kalita were jointly med as the best sports organizer. Bordoloi also added that few sports persons will be felicitated in the same function and they are fisa Sadiq (Rowing), Rakesh Banik (Para cyclist),Swap Priya Baruah (Weightlifter),  Supriya Gogoi (Kho Kho), Hasi Begum (Kabaddi) and Iron Men Rajnish Goswami.
