Shivratri celebrated

Tezpur, Feb 15: Shivratri was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the historic Mabhairab Temple. About 25,000 people converged at the temple where Maha Shivratri has been celebrated since long. The Sonitpur district administration and Tezpur Police made special arrangement to ensure a smooth magement of the crowd.  Devotees worshipped Lord Shiva with flowers, milk, bel fruit and leaves, dhatura and sandalwood paste. A member of the Shivratri mela celebration committee of Mahabhairab Temple said that as in the past, this year too a two-day mela had been organized at the venue.
