Shopping mall iugurated

Biswath Chariali, March 20: The first ever shopping mall in the entire Biswath district was iugurated on Monday by State Minister for Irrigation, Handloom and Textile, Ranjit Dutta in the heart of the Biswath Chariali town at a glamorous function.

 In his iugural address, minister Dutta expressed the hope that the newly-opened super market would be able to fulfil the aspirations of the customers as well as generate employment here. Biswath MLA Pramod Borthakur, Biswath Deputy Commissioner Asitaksha Chakravarty, Biswath Municipality chairperson Ruli Sharma, veteran scribes Pray Bordoloi and Bedabrat Borah, eminent writer Anuradha Sharma Pujari and singer Shimanta Shekhar also graced the occasion by lighting the earthen lamps. The welcome address was delivered by social worker and businessman Akan Saikia while the programme was conducted by actress Aisengfa Baruah.
