Joysagar, May 28: In a fire incident, four shops were gutted in Simaluguri Daily Bazar on Saturday night. A devastating fire broke out in an agricultural goods shop of the market and soon the fire spread to three more shops adjourning this shop. Local people immediately informed the State Fire Department and three fire tenders reached the spot and controlled the fire. The reason behind this fire was supposed to be an electric short circuit, said a State Fire Department official. Valuable goods worth about Rs 5 lakh were damaged in the fire incident, said a shopkeeper.
