Short film festival on bicentennial celebration of Saint Don Bosco’s birth

Silchar, August 7: On the occasion of 200th anniversary of the birth of Saint Don Bosco a short film festival will be organized in Don Bosco School Auditorium of Silchar on Saturday. August 16, 2015, marks the bicentery of the birth of Don Bosco, a marvelous educator saint who is the founder of Don Bosco Education Society. To mark the occasion, twenty films from eight countries including India, will be screened at the Don Bosco Bicentery Intertiol Short Film Festival of India (DBISFFI). The short films will be screened simultaneously at 55 locations all over India, from 9 am to 6 pm. There are over 50,000 members in the Society saint Don Bosco founded, working in over 132 countries. His followers stepped into the Indian subcontinent in 1906, and these 109 years of existence have wrought in marvelous fruits of growth, peace and development all over India. The DBSFFI is a unique attempt to mark this year as a tribute to the saint. Bro. Reggie C, chief coorditor, ha cordially invited the public to attend the festival as a mark of tribute to, Don Bosco, the great educator saint.
