Short film on girl child education released

SILCHAR, Sept 14: Prime Minister rendra Modi’s ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign has caught the fancy of many young minds. Sneha Singhal, a young talent has made a 30 minutes short film in Hindi, titled, ‘Panchanvi Kanya’. She is the producer, assistant director and also a lead in the film which is based on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign. The film has been released at the premises of Women’s College of this town today. “It is an auspicious day for Sneha as it is her first film. Today, being Hindi Divas, I feel proud to release the film,” said Madan Singhal, father of Sneha and also a member of Sneha Tele Films.

 Madan Singhal said that the film will be telecast through all the local television channels of the three districts of Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi. It will also be telecast on Barak Television Network, Ishan Bangla and Guwahati Prag Cinema today. The film features four main characters and twelve other supporting artists. It is the combined efforts of four singers, two musicians and three videographers. Moreover, the film has been made with local artists and in future more such films are planned. Sneha Singhal said, “I am excited and nervous at the same time. It is indeed a great achievement for me.” Kolkata-based filmmaker Mahesh Jalan has invited Sneha for a project. She has essayed the role of a Superintendent of Police in the film.  Among others who spoke on the occasion included, Dr Manoj Kumar Paul, principal, Women’s College and Manoranjan Malakar, noted folk singer, who is the music director of the film.
