Shortage of cash in ATMs in Golaghat

Golaghat, November 11: Prime Minister rendra Modi’s surgical strike on Indian economy has now made the common people suffer a lot.

After scrapping notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomition and introducing new notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 denomition, it was said that the customers could exchange old notes from November 10 in banks. But in Golaghat due to shortage of cash, for the second consecutive day most of the people were uble to get new notes.

On Friday in Golaghat town almost all the ATMs of leading banks were closed and at the e-corner of State Bank of India, hundreds of people were seen in queque. The SBI authorities stated that the required amount of cash was not available to fill up all the ATMs and so the people had to suffer inconvenience. Meanwhile, the vegetable sellers, daily wage workers and other business and service men had to suffer a lot in their day-to-day dealings due to non-availability of new notes and rejection of old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000.
