MARGHERITA, April 2: Margherita on Saturday witnessed a major election campaign as both former minister and Congress candidate Pradyut Bordoloi and BJP candidate Bhaskar Sharma made a flamboyant show of strength. Under BJP candidate Bhaskar Sharma, a rally was taken out with more than 300 motorcycles and four wheelers from Jagun Bazaar to Powai Gate in Margherita. The Election Commission of India have given a circular that government teachers and employees cannot participate in any political party meeting or campaign but today Margherita Gandhi Vidya Mandir High School senior teacher Kanhaiya Lal Yadav participated in the BJP motorcycle rally. Two days ago Margherita administration had issued Kanhaiya Lal Yadav a showcause notice as then also Kanhaiya Lal Yadav had violated the rules and regulations of the Election Commission of India. Congress also today took out a Padyatra at Ledo Town where more than 2,000 Congress supporters took part. Sanjeeb Kumar Barhoi, Margherita Sub Divisiol Officer (Civil) and also the Returning Officer of Margherita, said that they had already suspended Kanhaiya Lal Yadav and departmental enquiry would be initiated against him.
