Shree th Goswami Memorial Award given away

Jorhat, November 8: The Shree th Goswami Memorial Trust  conferred Shree th Goswami award to three teachers and six brilliant students in Jorhat on Tuesday.

A meeting was organized at Borbheta High School in Jorhat by Shree th Guswami Memorial Trust. Shree th Goswami was the founder headmaster of Borbheta High School. About 500 people comprising students, teachers, and local people were present in the meeting held on the occasion.

Besides six meritorious students, the award was conferred on eminent teachers like Hemaprabha Dutta, Ghakanta Bora and Himen Bhattacharya.

The meeting was presided over by Juganda Bora, retired professor of ndath Saikia College, Titabor.  Participating in the meeting as the chief guest, Dr. Malini spoke about the life and works of eminent teacher Shree th Goswami. Shree th Goswami was the Xatradhikar of Madhumishra Xatra, Golaghat. He was the father of space scientist Dr Jitendra th Goswami and Jorhat MLA Hitendra th Goswami.
