'Shun wrong beliefs'

From our correspondent

Itagar, Feb 6: Aruchal Pradesh Education Minister Honchun Ngandam  unfurled the flag of Recreatiol Educatiol Information Entertainment Literary Activities (REILA), the annual sports and cultural meet, at Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic (RGGP) College here on Monday .

Speaking to the students on the occasion, Ngandam said, “Change is the only constant and being a student one should bring changes in academic and social life. Students should be responsible and have notion of what to do and not to in a society for social changes. We ministers are guardians and can only provide the necessities for good and quality education. We can only advise but students have to determine their future. To be a good citizen of State or society is the need of the hour.”

The wrong concept of “we can’t do” and “tribal cannot be better in science and mathematics” should be shunned, he said, adding that hard work and discipline is the only tool that can bring change in it. We have to challenge the obstacles that come on our way so as to achieve our goal, he added. He assured the students union to look into the memorandum submitted by the Union of Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic (SURGGP).
