Shuttle buses to be provided to poll officials

SILCHAR, March 31: Cachar District administration has provided bus and shuttle services for poll personnel and for carrying the election materials in the district just on the eve of assembly elections. On April 3, from early morning, buses will be available from taking election materials to Cachar College campus and TRIP at Jaffirband. Materials for conducting the election have to be collected and for this purpose buses have been made available at different points of the town to pick up poll personnel for their respective destitions.

 In a press-note from the district administration, it has been informed that at 5:30 am on April 3, buses with poll personnel will leave from Digarkhal check gate, Rajatila Bazar, Balacherra, Bihara Bazar, Harigar Bazar, Jirighat Bazar, Binkandie Ghat, Amraghat Bazar, Lailapur, Hawaithang, Jalalpur, Jaipur, Katigorah, Palanghat, Kachudorom, Lakhipur, Bhangarpar, Ghumra, Kalain patrol post and Dholai police station.

 On the same day, at 5.30 in the morning, buses will leave from Kumbha, Lakhipur, Tolengram, Motigar Bazar, Kazidahar, Lowerband, Assam University, Tapang, East Gobindapur Putul Bazar, Borkhola police outpost and Sobarighat points. The press-note further says that from 6 am, buses with poll personnel will leave from Borkhola Bazar, Dayapur, NIT, Kathakal Assam Police Bn, Rangirkhari police outpost, Chengcoorie, 2nd Link Road (Soi Road), Salchappra police outpost, Malugram police outpost, Soi police outpost, Dwarbond police outpost and Aruchal police outpost.

 It is also stated that a bus will leave from Kalain Bazar at 5.45 in the morning. In addition to the availability of the buses, shuttle buses have also been provided. Five shuttle buses will run after every 15 minutes for taking poll personnel to Cachar College and TRIP. These shuttle buses will leave from Dak Bungalow, situated near the office of the Cachar District Commissioner. It has been requested to all the poll personnel to avail themselves of these services.
