Shyam hits double ton in Railway cricket

GUWAHATI, March 20: Rode on an unbeaten double ton from G Shyam Sundar, South Cental Railway (SCR) piled up huge total against Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) on Day I of the 61st Inter Railway Cricket Tourment match held at Barsapara cricket stadium here today. SCR, elected to bat, scored 401-5 before declared their first innings. G Shyam Sundar, who remained not out on 217, played  237 balls to score those runs and there were 18 boundaries and 7 sixes in his innings.  M Suresh  (51), G Chiranjeevi  (45), and Hemant Singh (44) were the other major contributors with the bat. RWF finished the day scoring 2-0 in their innings.  

Meanwhile in the other match of the day at NFRSA stadium, Maligaon NCR bowled out DLW 186 runs. Ashish Yadav, the most successful bowler for NCR, picked up five wickets giving away 36 runs. NCR were 139-2 when the day’s play came to an end.
