Siang Deputy Commissioner sanctions Rs 1 lakh for repair of bridge

SIANG: The Right Bank Tower (RBT) of Komsing Bridge in Siang district was erected today in a ceremony attended by Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk, SP Kushal Pal Singh and SE PWD Tapi Darang.

The event witnessed a huge gathering of officials and village headmen and leaders of Pangin, Koreng, Yeksi, Sissen, Pangi, Komsing Karo and leading citizens and general public. Expressing happiness over the development, the DC urged the public to cooperate with the concerned department for early completion of the bridge. He also sanctioned Rs 1 lakh for repair of the hanging bridge, the life-line of Komsing Karo village which was badly damaged in the recent flood. It will not only provide connectivity to the people of the area but will also usher in prospective avenues for tourism and horticulture in the area known for its abundance of horticultural produce and scenic beauty.
