Sigture campaign against Uri attack

SHILLONG, Sept 24: Over 6000 people from all walks of life today took part in the sigture campaign organized by the Bharatiya Jata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at Khyndailad area as a mark of protest and to condemn the recent terror attack killing at least 18 Indian soldiers at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.

The BJP also organized a candle-light vigil to pay rich tribute and respect to the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives fighting to protect the country.

Speaking to reporters BJYM state president Eugenestar Kurkalang said, “We strongly condemned this cowardice attack on our security forces by the terrorist.”

BJYM Shillong city general secretary Nitin Khera added that they are targeting to collect at least 8000 sigtures which would accordingly be sent to Uri, as a mark of extending our solidarity and respect.

He added, “We salute the brave soldiers, who were killed by terrorists funded and grown by Pakistan and who have laid down their lives to protect the sovereignty of the country.”

Meanwhile, BJP state leader David Kharsati said that the sigture campaign is to send a strong message that such terror attack is highly condemble and will not be tolerated.
