Silchar, Guwahati in command

GUWAHATI, March 16: Silchar and Guwahati put themselves in a very good position on the first day of the Nuruddin Inter District semi fil group league matches held in two different venues in the city today. At NFRSA stadium, in reply to gaon's first innings total of 174, Guwahati finished the first day 232-8 in their first innings. In the other match, held at the Barsapara ground, Dibrugarh are struggling 90-9 in reply to Silchar's first innings total 168.

Venue : NFRSA Stadium, Maligaon- GAON 1st Innings 174  (42 Overs), bajit Ghosh---27 (no), Eshan Ravi 26, Aniket Bhowmik 25, Tooshar Shyamal 23, Abir Chakraborty 5-51,Nipon Deka 4-37. Guwahati 1st Innings 232-8  (43 Overs). Nipon Deka 60 (no), Ram Kripal Gupta 49, Abhijit Singha Roy 33, Sunu Kumar 23, Bastab Hazarika 19, Ashok Kumar Saini 4-45.
