GUWAHATI, April 12: Silchar made good progress against Jorhat in the Nuruddin Senior Inter District Cricket Championship quarter fil tie at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium here today. in reply to Jorhat first innings total 112 Silchar finished the day I at 93 / 1 in their first innings.

Invited to bat, Jorhat struggled from the very beginning of their innings and lost wicket on regular intervals. Except  Dayal Krish Dutta (34) no other batsmen of the team were able to stay on the wicket for a long period. Reshabh Dipak (19) was the other major contributor. Silchar made good start in their first innings and took their score to 93/1 at stumps. Avishek Thakuri (66) scored half century.
