Silchar thrash Jorhat

GUWAHATI, April 12: Silchar thrashed Jorhat an innings and 58 runs in a quarter fil league match of Nurrudin Ahmed Senior Inter District Cricket Tourment at Barsapara stadium on Thursday.

After conceding 106 runs first innings lead Jorhat could mage only 48 in their second innings in 28 overs in the fil day today.

Earlier resuming at 93 for one Silchar declared their first innings at 223 for 7 in 56.4 overs. Avishek Thakuri (66) and Prasenjit Sarkar (70) were the major contributors for the side while Samik Das and Ikramul Ali added 22 and 23no respectively. And Sharma and Dayal Krish Dutta took 2 wickets each.

In Jorhat’s second innings Rahul Singh wraped up the batting order in his 13-over spell by taking 8 wickets for 18. Only Aniket Saha (21) could spend some times at the crease.
