Silpi Divas observed at Kujidah

Batadrava, Jan 21: A four-day long programme on the occasion of Silpi Divas was organized by gaon district wing of Asom Yuva Parishad in collaboration with its Jamuguri, Kujidah and mati units. The programme concluded on Friday.

The last day’s programme began with plantation and cleanliness drive by the district and unit members. After that a special conversation programme on local veteran artists was held followed by an open session under the president ship of Atul Medhi, president of gaon District Asom Ga Parishad. Eminent litterateur and former member of Rajya Sabha, Jayashree Goswami Mahanta, executive president of Asom Mahila Parishad, Mamoni Borah and many dignitaries took part.  Around 14 veteran artistes of Batadrava were also felicitated in the meeting. The four-day long programme started on January 17 with hoisting of flag followed by swahid tapan, art competition and Jyoti Sangeet competition. A free yoga training camp was also held as part of the programme.
