Silver jubilee celebration of Gadadhar Kabi Chakra concludes

DHUBRI, Feb 13:  The year-long silver jubilee celebration of Gadadhar Dhubri Jila Kabi Chakra concluded with publication of literary souvenir and books at Axam Xahitya Xabha Bhavan here on Sunday. Celebration of silver jubilee of Gadadhar Dhubri Jila Kabi Chakra - a socio-cultural organization in Dhubri, had begun in November 2016 with iugural function held at the same venue where it concluded.

Speaking in the concluding function of two-day celebration after releasing the souvenir- Gadadhar, Dhubri District Information and Public Relation Officer, Bikas Sarma said that the organization should make utmost effort and march ahead to cross the milestone of golden jubilee and centery in years to come. “Completion of silver jubilee is undoubtedly a glorious moment for any organization and this must be recalled. But having achieved this milestone, members should not take solace and rest being self-satisfied and rather consider this milestone as the beginning of more tedious journey ahead. Because from this point, the organization has to act with more maturity and responsibility to guide the new and upcoming generation and help them to contribute in literary works,” Sarma appealed.

Three books authored by Renuprabha Das Hazarika, Zakir Hussain and Ismat Ara Begum, were also released on the occasion. Discussion and deliberation were held on the various literary works and their treatment. Speaking in the deliberation, president of Dhubri Zila Xahitya Xabha, Abul Hasan Sheikh spoke at a length on various literary works while retired government official Mril Kanti g stressed study and discussion about the Bengali literature and its works.
