Silver jubilee of Furkating Sakha Xahitya Xabha

Golaghat , Jan 8: Furkating Sakha Xahitya Xabha in Golaghat observed its silver jubilee. The three-day long programme started on Sunday at Furkating College premises. The programme started with hoisting of 25 flags together to mark the 25 glorious years of Furkating Sakha Xahitya Xabha. After that, a cultural procession was taken out. Then an open session was held where nine books were unveiled by several distinguished persolities. Furkating Sakha Xahitya Xabha officials condemned and criticized the ongoing controversy of Axam Xahitya Xabha ahead of its centery celebration. They stated that Xahitya Xabhas should focus on enriching literature and the culture of the State and take steps to encourage new generation writers instead of creating controversies. Furkating Sakha Xahitya Xabha will always work for the greater interest of the society, the officials added.
