Sim Bhullar joins Raptors 905

Mississauga, Nov 2: Indian-origin cager Sim Bhullar has joined Raptors 905 in the tiol Basketball Association's (NBA) Development League.

"The Raptors' D-League affiliate got the rights to the 7-foot-5 centre from the Reno Bighorns in exchange for the rights to guard Ricky Ledo," the NBA said in a release on Monday.

Bhullar, who stands seven-foot-five, spent the season with the Sacramento Kings and their Reno Bighorns farm team in the NBA D-league.

Last season, the Toronto-born centre averaged 10.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.9 blocks in 39 games with Reno. The 22-year-old is the first player of Indian descent to play in the NBA. IANS
