Simanta shines in GTC’s big win

GUWAHATI, March 7: A fantastic spell from Simanta Neogi helped Gauhati Town club to thrash City Cricket club by 56 runs in the GSA ‘A” Division Cricket league match at IIT ground today. Chasing 108 runs to win City Cricket club bowled out paltry 51 runs thanks to a magic spell from Simanta who picked up 5 wickets giving away only 12 runs. Deep Borah (3-30) also performed well with the ball. Earlier elected to bat ,Gauhati Town club bowled out 107 runs. Abhishek Pathak (18) scored the best individual runs in the innings as well as in the game too. Chandradeep Das claimed 3-14.
