Simon Katich appointed KKR assistant coach

Kolkata, Oct 28: Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday med former Australian batsman Simon Katich as their assistant coach for the 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). “The Kolkata Knight Riders are pleased to announce the appointment of former Australian cricketer Simon Katich as the new assistant coach of the team. Katich will be assisting Jacques Kallis who was recently announced as the head coach,” a KKR release said.

KKR maging director Venky Mysore said in the release, “Simon Katich is a great addition to KKR. I am sure his T20 experience as well as his well organised coaching skills will come in handy for the KKR players,” KKR’s newly appointed head coach Kallis said: “It is great to have Simon on my magement team.” (IANS)
