Singapore, May 8: Singapore’s Parliament on Monday passed a death pelty law for nuclear terrorism acts. Death pelty will be given to a person who commits a fatal act of terrorism using radioactive material or nuclear explosive devices, Xinhua news agency reported. Second Minister for Home Affairs Desmond Lee said Singapore cannot discount the rise of the Islamic State terror group especially when many countries, including those within the region, use nuclear energy, or are actively exploring its use.
