Debashish Endow has been called from Tripura, Agartala, Kabita Roy from Karimganj and Biswajit Roy Choudhury from Silchar will be performing on that day.” Barak Upattoka Bango Sahitya O Sanskriti Sommelon wants to promote Randindra Sangeet as interest in Tagore studies, poems and songs are lessening in people’s mind. Sanjib Lakar, president, Barak Upattoka Bango Sahitya O Sanskriti Sommelon, Silchar, said, “Owing to the bad transportation system, singers from Kolkata find it difficult to come here. Though train service is there, yet fewer artists are coming.
