Singerband health sub-centre crying for proper attention

Silchar, Jan 17: Singerband primary health sub centre has been running without any pharmacists for many years. The condition of the sub centre is also pathetic and pitiable. It is running on the relentless services being provided by ANMs. Since the sub centre is almost functionless, it becomes difficult for people to visit hospitals at Soi and Lakhipur as they have to cover a distance of 15 to 16 km.

 In this regard, a group of people led by Y Mani Singha, retired teacher, recently met Lakhipur SDMO Dr Y Kishore Singh. They have requested that immediate renovation of the sub centre along with provision of child delivery system be initiated at the earliest. Dr Y Kishore Singh assured that immediate steps would be taken in this regard and that a new CHO would be appointed here from the month of February.
