Singing & poetry event held

Dibrugarh, Nov 15: A singing and poetry event was held at Chaliha Nibakh, Dibrugarh on November 12. The programme ‘Xitok Aadoru Ekhondhya Kotha aaru Kobitare’ was attended by several senior and junior poets of the region who recited poems in Assamese, English, Bengali and Hindi, apart from singing songs. Some of them were Moniram Agarwal, Manohar Verma, Dilip Lekharu, Sarif Ahmed, Mridul Sharma, Indira Jadav, Alpa Baruah, Anjan Agomacharya and Tarun Gupta.

The event that was anchored by Jayanta Bordoloi and moderated by Pur Bordoloi, also saw senior jourlist Lalit Sharma enthralling the audience with his self-composed song.
