Sivasagar Army conducts free medical camp

SIVASAGAR, January 12: Under the ongoing initiatives of Dao Division under Operation  Sadbhava, a free medical camp was conducted recently at Araltoli village of Demow by Sivasagar Army Camp in conjunction with Field Hospital  unit  of Dao Division.

The camp was conducted with the aim of providing medical help to the local population of remote villages in Sivasagar district. A total of 201 male, 266 female patients and 229 children were given the necessary medical assistance. The common diseases affecting the people were respiratory tract infection, gastroenteritis, skin diseases, life style diseases and other common diseases.

A team of three medical and one dental officer from Army, and two civilian eye specialist from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh attended to the patients.
