Sivasagar Civil Hospital wins Kaikalpa Award

Joysagar, Jan 6: The prestigious Kaikalpa Award was conferred to the authorities of Sivasagar Civil Hospital, Joysagar on Friday by the social organization Jaseva, Axom.
Sivasagar Civil Hospital, which was established in 1984 at Joysagar area, was the only district government hospital in entire Sivasagar district with a capacity of 400 beds. In the year 2016-17, this government hospital was able to get the ninth position among the 10 best government hospitals of the State which offer quality healthcare. Sivasagar Civil Hospital got a total of 71 per cent in the ranking process conducted by the Jaseva, Axom. Altogether 1.30 lakh outdoor patients were treated in the year 2016-17 while about 16,000 indoor patients benefited during this period. A total of 35 doctors, 63 NRHM nurses and a total of 31 State ANM nurses are offering their best services to the patients. A formal meeting was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Dr. Ranjit Hazarika, Superintendent of the hospital where Sivasagar District Joint Director of Health Services, Dr. R. Borpujari took part as chief guest.
