Sivasagar DC issues showcause to Demow BDO and BEEO

SIVASAGAR, May 7: Seventeen officials including Block Development Officer, Demow were found absent from duty in a surprise visit by Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar on Thursday.

DC Virendra Mittal reached Demow BDO office at around 10:30 AM on Thursday and found BDO Abish Saikia and 17 other officials absent from duty without any intimation and accordingly issued show cause notices.

Mittal also issued show cause notice to Block Elementary Education Officer (BEEO), Demow Krish Tanti when he conducted a surprise check in the BEEO office and found him absent from duty on Thursday.

The Deputy Commissioner carries out frequent inspection of government offices to ensure discipline and accountability among officials.
