Sivasagar DC moves for completion of all schemes

SIVASAGAR, March 7: District-level coordition committee (DLCC)-cum-review meeting was held on Monday at the conference hall of DC’s office, Sivasagar, with the Deputy Commissioner in the chair.

 In the meeting, attended by Sivasagar Superintendent of Police Subodh Sonowal, all revenue circle officers, Army and CRPF personnel, and with officials of ONGC, forests, Assam Gas Company and others, the newly joined Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha reviewed all ongoing schemes and new schemes.

 Jha stressed the conservation and beautification of the historic Jamu cal, beautification of 551 monuments spread across the district and completion of all ongoing schemes. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress achieved in the construction of super-speciality hospital at Rajabari and the construction works of the temporary campus of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) at Palashani.

 On Tuesday, the Deputy Commissioner accompanied by the Superintendent of Police visited the border outposts (BOPs) at Lakshmijan, Singibil, Mugapara and reviewed the prevailing position, infrastructure and problems like lack of health services, electricity and drinking water in the bordering areas, particularly of tea garden labourers, by meeting representatives of various organizations, small tea growers, senior citizens, village headmen, presidents of VDPs and locals at Geleky Police Out Post. He urged the SP and zira SDO Rajib Thapa to take up measures to meet the challenges.
