Sivasagar Entrepreneur Nominated for Asian Award For Courage Award, 2017-18

JOYSAGAR, July 22: Hiranmay Gogoi (38), son of Biren Gogoi and Sita Gogoi of Rupahi village of Sivasagar, has been nominated for the prestigious Asian Award For Courage which will be formally conferred on July 26 in Colombo in Sri Lanka for the year 2017-18. Altogether 20 young entrepreneurs have been selected by the AAC Asian Committee and Hiranmay has been selected from India. Hiranmay became famous by selling various Assamese indigenous food items online. Hiranmay’s ‘Ghar Ka Khana’ is now regarded as one of the most popular ethnic food enterprises which mainly deals with food items of Assam and the Northeast. He has also set up outlets in Guwahati, Meghalaya, Kolkata, Manipur and Delhi.
