Sivasagar exults with Rejit, 70.26 pass percentage

SIVASAGAR, June 2: Rejit Konwar, an HSLC candidate from zira HS School, made the entire Sivasagar district proud with his outstanding performance in the HSLC examition, the results of which were declared on Tuesday by SEBA. Rejit was ranked 10th with letter marks in all the subjects. He obtained 577 total marks.

People of Sivasagar have expressed satisfaction at the success of students of several schools in the district in the HSLC examition. Notably, out of 15,604 candidates who appeared in the examition this year, 10,964 passed with the pass percentage being 70.26 per cent in the district. Out of the successful candidates, 2,997 obtained first division, 4,477 second and 3,490 got third division.

Sivasagar Government HS & MP School performed well in the examitions. Out of 116 students who appeared in the examition, 44 secured first division, 50 secured second division and seven got third division (distinction-6, star-9). In Sundarmal Memorial Modern School 26 out of 26 students secured first division (distinction-12, star-10). In Phuleswari Girls’ HS School, out of 124 students, 62 secured first division, 56 second and four secured third division (distinction-4, star-14). In Holy me School, out of 120 students, 114 secured first division and six secured second division (distinction-33, star-35). In Sophy Mercy Memorial English School, out of 26 students, 17 got distinction while nine passed with star marks.
