Sivasagar observes Constitution Day

SIVASAGAR, Nov 26: The Sivasagar district administration observed Constitution Day by organizing a programme at the video conference hall in the office of the Deputy Commissioner on Saturday. The Constitution Day is observed to celebrate the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, which came into force on January 26, 1950. During the programme, Deputy Commissioner rayan Konwer elaborately discussed the Preamble to the Indian Constitution, and later read aloud the Preamble. Additiol Deputy Commissioners Moon Gogoi and Aswini Kr Doley, SDO(C), zira, Dr Sadnek Singh, Circle Officer Amguri, Vivek Shyam, Sivasagar Municipal Board chairman M. Singha and staff took part in the programme. Meanwhile, the Preamble to the Constitution was also read in educatiol institutions in Sivasagar. Besides, activities like mock parliament, lectures, essay and debate competitions were also organized in various educatiol institutions to mark the day.
