Sivasagar observes Digital India Week

SIVASAGAR, July 7: Organized by Sivasagar District e-Governce Society, Digital India Week was observed at DRDA Conference Hall on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner (in-cahrge) Dhiren Hazarika spoke on the need of digitizing of the office procedure so that every work of the offices could be converted to paperless through digital process and people could avail the benefit at the earliest.

K. Zaman, DIO, Sivasagar stressed Digital Locker Account so that e-documents could be shared across agencies and individuals.

A documentary on Digital India was also screened. Besides, prizes for art and essay competitions which were held as part of observation of the week were distributed by the dignitaries present on the occasion.

Sivasagar Superintendent of Police Bibekanda Das, Additiol Deputy Commissioners HK Pegu, PR Gharphalia, PD, DRDA, SN Hussain Chowdhury, Sivasagar Circle Officer Tapan Gohain, EAC ya Borah along with parents and students attended the programme. Earlier, PR Gharphalia delivered the welcome speech.
