Sivasagar observes World Environment Day

SIVASAGAR, May 7: Sivasagar observed World Environment Day recently. Various organizations came forward to observe the occasion with messages to make the world green and clean. District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of Sivasagar also observed World Environment Day in collaboration with the district administration, district judiciary, district police and Swaploy (a children home). To mark the occasion, an awareness rally was taken out through the Sivasagar town with  banners and placards, where DLSA secretary Rupak Rajok, all judiciary officials, Additiol Deputy Commissioner, Sivasagar, DN Morang, zir Anil Bora, Assistant zirs Abhirayan Mili, Prab Jyoti Saikia, Khirud Changmai, Budhewar Baruah and Sanjib Dey, Pik Ghosh Biswas, students from various schools and students of Swaplay also took part. Following the rally, they planted saplings in various government offices, including SP office, DC’s office and court premises as part of World Environment Day celebration. On the other hand, Marwari Yuva Mancha also observed World Environment Day in Sivasagar, which was also participated by Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal and Superintendent of Police And Prakash Tiwari.
