Sivasagar Police observes Assam Police Day

JOYSAGAR , Oct 1: Assam Police Day was formally observed on Sunday by Sivasagar Police.

A meeting was organized in the SP’s office, Sivasagar. Superintendent of Police of Sivasagar, SK Sonowal presided over the meeting while ASP (HQ) Zakir Hussain briefed on the aims and objectives of the Police Day. Besides, ASP Debasish Sharma hosted the function of offering tribute to the martyrs of Assam Police, where floral tribute was offered by the Sivasagar Superintendent of Police.

Moreover, march past and various cultural programmes were also presented by the cops. Besides, a discussion was also held where various problems of Assam Police faced in recent times were also discussed and speakers pleaded to the government to solve the problems for better performance of the force in the coming days.
