JOYSAGAR, Oct 14: Sivasagar Sadar Police (Traffic Branch) registered altogether 1,000 Motor Vehicle offence cases on Friday.
As per report, Sivasagar Traffic Police, following guidelines from the Superintendent of Police, Sivasagar, conducted checking throughout and registered cases on the spot. The number of registered offenders of MV Act rose to 1,000 in one day.
Sivasagar Traffic Police I/C Ashim Bora revealed that all the cases would be sent to the court and persons accused would have to pay fines in court following legal process. Bora also added that such case registration process would create awareness among people and make them obey rules and regulations.
