Sivasagar students shine in HSLC exam

SIVASAGAR, May 31: This historic district of Sivasagar once again won laurels in the field of education by bagging positions in the top 20 in the High School Leaving Certificate Examition, 2016. A festive atmosphere prevailed in the entire Sivasagar district after the declaration of the results.

Among the rank holders, Apar Gogoi is from Sori Sankardev Sishu Niketan who secured 4th position by scoring 584 marks. Borsha Khatiwara secured the 8th position and scored 579 marks from Demow Sankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan, while Soumabha Talukdar, Saptarshi Konwar and Partha Pratim Chutia of Moran St. Joseph School secured 9th, 12th and 14th positions by scoring 577, 574 and 572 marks respectively. From Demow HS School, Romin Gogoi bagged the 11th rank by scoring 575 marks, while Mrigashri Dehingia and Aparajita Konwar, both from Simaluguri HS School secured 13th position by scoring 573 marks. Another student Mashjyoti Baruah from Simaluguri HS School bagged 12th position. Amlan Kalita of Amguri Gyan Bikash Vidyapith bagged the 14th position by securing 572 marks.

Holy me School, Sivasagar basked in glory by bagging four top positions. Mali Gogoi secured 15th position (571), Pratyasha Kalita secured 16th position (570), Bhashwati Mech secured 17th position (569) while fisha Sulta bagged 18th position (568). The other students who secured 16th position are Ashim Ranjan Bora of Sankardev Sishu Bidya Niketan and Abhigyan Baruah of zira Bortola HS School.

Two students from Sibsagar Govt. HS & MP School secured 18th  and 19th positions by scoring 568 and 567 marks respectively. They are Jiukrishn Kashyap and Jafrad Ahmed. Another student from Bezbaruah HS School, Puja Bora secured 18th position. Two students from Betbari HS School, Fardind Phukan and Samiran Buragohain secured 17th and 20th positions respectively by scoring 569 and 566 marks. Anurag Borah of Sapekhati HS School secured 17th position, while Ujjibit Baruah, a student from Bishrampur HS School, bagged the 18th position.  

The other students who secured 20th positions are Ashtha Mahanta of Phuleswari Girls’ HS School and Tahmid Aftab of Geleky Jatiya Vidyalay.
