Six-day entrepreneurship development programme concludes

Dibrugarh, April 25:  The six-day Entrepreneurs Development Programme (EDP) training under PMEGP scheme, organized by  United RSETI,

Dibrugarh  and sponsored by KVIC  at the Training Center at United Bank of India, was successfully concluded recently. All total 43 participants from various parts including Tingkhong, harkotiya, Duliajan, Chabua and Lahowal took part in it . The programme, which was iugurated jointly by the Regiol Mager of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, PK Deb and senior jourlist I.Ahmed by lighting traditiol lamp, was attended by LBM Dibrugarh district, Mukul Kachari, United RESTI Director Amithav Bhattacharya, and officer, Regiol office UBI, Bapi Das and Mahuwa Chowdhury.

Both the iugurators in their respective speeches called upon the participants to avail the opportunity as offered by the  United RESTI, Dibrugarh and sponsored by KVIC in the form  of training on various scheme-related subjects, and apply the same for successful implementation of their individual scheme. They also emphasized  positive attitude and sincere efforts to overcome the hurdle which they might come across during their pursuit to achieve success.

Both Deb and Ahmed also urged upon the participants to take utmost care in utilization of funds which they would receive from the bank as loan. Regiol Mager, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, PK Deb , during his speech lamented that the youths of the undivided Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts had failed to meet the challenges of self- employment despite abundance of mineral like coal, oil, gas and lime stones and rich forest resources in the district.

The six-day EDP programme was also marked by fincial literacy programme, yoga and ring toss game. The Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh, Laya Madduri also graced the FLC programme as guest.

The valedictory function of the programme held recently was attended by Principal of the Dibrugarh Hanumanbux Surujmal Kanoi Commerce College, Dr Khanindra Mishra Bhagawati, Deputy General Mager and Chief Regiol Mager of UBI RO, Dibrugarh, Amitabha Sengupta , State Director , RSETIs , Babul Sharma, LDM UBI, Mukul Kachari , Director, RESTI, Amitabha Bhattacharya and officer UBI, Regiol office, Bapi Das.
