Six dengue cases in Upper Siang

Itagar, August14: Six positive cases of Dengue have been detected at District Hospital Yingkiong in Upper Siang district between Jan-Aug this year while 40 Malaria positive cases have been detected during the same period. This is as per the tiol Vector Borne Disease Control Programme report for the period which was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner by Dr. India Modi SMO-cum-DVBDCO from the District Hospital. Deputy Commissioner Remo Kamki has directed the District Health Service authority, health workers to prevent further spread of Dengue and asked them to conduct wide awareness campaign among the local people and take precautiory measures to stop the spread of disease, reports DIPRO.
