Six employees of Dhemaji NRC office resign

From a Correspondent

Dhemaji, Sept 24: At the time when the NRC update work is going on in full swing throughout Assam, the resigtion of six operators of the Dhemaji NRC office has become a serious concern.

Allegedly, due to the undesired behavior of the Dhemaji NRC District Coorditor, the operators left their jobs. Among the operators, two were from Dhemaji Circle office, one from Dhemaji DC office, one from Ghughua Panchayat, one from Khubalia Panchayat and one from Gohaingaon Panchayat, and they submitted their resigtion on September 12.

They had been working in the NRC office with a minimum salary of Rs 5,000 per month. They put forward certain demands before the District Coorditor who allegedly did not pay attention to their demands. This indifferent attitude allegedly moved them to submit their resigtion.

The local people have now urged the Deputy Commissioner to resolve the issue soon.
