JOYSAGAR, March 20: Sori Police bbed six suspected hunters from a rented house in ward no- 6 of Sori town on Monday. As per complaint received from local residents, police suddenly raided the house and bbed the hunters. Sources revealed that these accused persons had come from galand and used to stay at Sori. They allegedly use to hunt various species of wild birds, collect many dogs from the town and smuggle wild animals to galand. The police team recovered some birds and dogs kept in cages which were meant to be smuggled. Sori Police have registered a case against these hunters under Assam Forest Reservation and Protection Act, sources said.
