JOYSAGAR, May 8: As many as six daily wage labourers went missing due to a sudden incident that took place on Monday evening. As per reports, about 21 daily wage labourers were returning home from Sivasagar town on Monday evening and as the labourers tried to cross the Dikhow river near Singha Dwar under Hanhchara Gaon Panchayat using a weak and dilapidated bamboo bridge, suddenly the bridge collapsed and many labourers drowned in the river. Among them, about six labourers are still missing. Local people and police team and also SDRF personnel quickly reached the spot and they are still searching for the missing labourers in the river. But due to heavy rain, rescue operation has become a challenge, sources revealed.
