Six persons bbed with ganja and liquor

UDALGURI, February 7: The SSB jawans of 61 battalion bbed six persons with 340 kg ganja (canbis) and 251 bottles of liquor from the Aruchal- Assam border jungle area on Sunday.

They have also seized a Wagon R car (AS-27, 6492) when they found the 251 bottles of liquor being taken illegally. RansaiĀ  Daimari (19) and Topeswar Kisan (35) of Pathakpur, Majbat were bbed from the forest areas of Dhansiri Tea Estate with 230 kg ganja.

Another six persons associated with this business fled from the spot. On the way while returning to their base camp, the troop bbed Puhor Daimary (46) of Lamabari Tili with 251 bottles liquor being brought illegally from Aruchal in his Wagon R car. While another operating team bbed another three persons - Masi gbonshi (27), Sanjeev Basumatary (19) and Arun Basumatary (30) - with 110 kg ganja.

After brief interrogation they were handed over to the Ballemu Police Station of Aruchal Pradesh. This was informed to the press by KR Lomror, the Deputy Commandant of 61Bn SSB stationed at Bhairabkunda.
