Six youths, who died in Bhalukpung mishap, cremated

Tezpur, November 28: Six youths of an eight-member picnic party died on the spot at Bhalukpung along the Assam-Aruchal border under Chardwar PS in Sonitpur district on Sunday evening around 8.15 pm after the Bolero bearing registration No- AS-12-L- 6960 used by them fell into a ditch. They have been identified as Biki Bora (22), Mai Doley (27), Anja Pegu (25), Sanjay Barman (23), Suraj Kataki (28) and Dimbeswar Das (24) of Tezpur Ketekibari. Two of them who sustained serious injury in the incident were identified as Animesh Das (20) of Tezpur Ketekibari and Jitendra Bhuyan (22) of Goroimari area. They are under treatment in GMCH. However, after all sorts of formalities, including postmortem, the bodies of the six youths were jointly cremated at Parwa public crematorium.
