Skill development centre opened in Udalguri

TANGLA, September 28:  In a bid  to provide  job opportunities  to school dropouts and poor students of the greater Udalguri region, a free skill development centre and an advanced coaching centre were opened in Udalguri town recently.

The iugural function was held in the premises of Udalguri BEd College, which was attended by minister Rihon Daimari, Tridip Daimari, Speaker of BTC Assembly, Sarat Borah, director of Rowta ITI centre, Chiija Daimari, block coorditor of NRLM, DDUGKY, Udalguri, Sadha Hojai, DC of Udalguri district, Ramanuj Hazarika, election officer, Ripen Daimari, MCLA of Bhairabkunda constituency, Jitendra Singh, commandant of 23 battalion of SSB stationed at Lalpool and Jatindra Kumar Sarma, retired Principal of Udalguri HS school, among many others. The meeting was anchored by Bishnu Sarmah, coorditor of Advanced Coaching Centre.

The training centre under  Udalguri Barefoot College will impart training in motor driving, wielding and tailoring to candidates free of cost, as informed by Ismail Daimari, director of the college.

On the other hand, an advanced coaching centre for the budding talents of Udalguri will also be operatiol from October 2 at Udalguri town where poor students from Class IX to Class XII will be provided free coaching in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English by a group of expert subject teachers of the locality with a view to encourage them to face various competitive examitions at the State and tiol level, informed Bishnu Sarmah.
